Sweden's Young Academy has officially welcomed eight new members for the 2025-2030 term, significantly enriching the institution which serves to empower young researchers in their respective fields. Among the newly elected members is Maria Mancilla Garcia, a research leader in environmental and sustainability science at the Stockholm Resilience Centre. Gabriele Messori, president of the academy, expressed enthusiasm regarding the diverse expertise these new members bring, stating, "The vitality of a young academy is in welcoming new members. The cohort includes scholars from a variety of disciplines: Laura Bacete Cano (Umeå University), Moa Lidén (Uppsala University), Björn Lundberg (Lund University), Wojciech Michno (Uppsala University), Sari Nauman (Gothenburg University), Carolin Schütze (Malmö University), and Marcel Tarbier (Uppsala University). Notably, three new members are affiliated with Stockholm University, reinforcing the institution's academic presence.
