The silent film 'c:> format', created by a group of individuals with disabilities from Sjöbo, has been nominated for 'Best Short Film' at the prestigious Forward Film & Television Festival in Birmingham, England. The festival is scheduled to take place from July 16 to 20, 2025, with winners set to be announced on the final day. This achievement marks a significant recognition for the film, which was developed as part of the three-year HÖR MIG! project. This innovative initiative, led by filmmaker Björn Wahlström, allows participants from the local daily activity center, Diamanten, to tell their stories through film.

Katarina Leufstedt, unit manager for daily activities, expressed her excitement about the nomination, stating, "This is a fantastic recognition. It shows what is possible when people receive the right support to express themselves." Besides the Birmingham festival, 'c:> format' has also been selected for screening at the New York Lift-Off Film Festival, where it will be showcased online throughout July 2025.
