Anette Modin, the local union leader, emphasized the importance of educating union members on political processes to enhance their advocacy efforts. Last year, a total of 1.1 million SEK was allocated exclusively for salary enhancement for these workers. Following concerns raised about the correct usage of these funds, an additional 500,000 SEK has now been dedicated to further support them.
The recent funding will specifically benefit 285 long-term employed undersköterskor, who have been with the municipality for over a decade.
