The Gotland Runt sailing competition will commence on June 29, 2025, featuring nearly 200 boats from ten different countries. This prestigious annual race, which dates back to 1937, is billed as the largest offshore sailing event globally. The course spans 350 nautical miles, starting at Gråskärsfjärden, circling around the picturesque island of Gotland, and concluding at Sandhamn.

Highlighting the competitive nature of this year’s race, notable entries include the 100-foot yacht Black Jack 100 from Monaco and Biotherm, a cutting-edge 60-foot foiling racing vessel driven by skipper Paul Meilhat. Meilhat expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "This is my first visit to Sweden, and I am glad to take part in this legendary race. This race is the perfect way to kick off our summer season with the crew on board Biotherm."

Joining these elite racers is Olympic medalist Vilma Bobeck, who will compete aboard an X-41 for the first time. Another interesting contestant is the smallest boat in the fleet, the 8-meter long Sescape 27 named My, which is expected to take approximately three days to finish the race.

The event, organized by the Royal Swedish Yacht Club (KSSS), aims to provide an enjoyable experience not only for participants but also for families, with festivities running from June 27 to July 2, including entertainment and activities available at guest harbors. Free transport to Sandhamn will be provided for visitors to witness this iconic event firsthand.
