The Swedish Public Health Agency (Folkhälsomyndigheten, FHM) has issued a warning regarding the spread of AI-generated fake videos featuring Anders Tegnell on social media platforms, particularly Facebook. These fabricated videos, which falsely advertise health products for diabetes and asthma, have been designed to include FHM's logo, lending them an air of legitimacy.

Tegnell expressed his alarm over the exploitation of his name and that of FHM by scammers preying on the vulnerable seeking health solutions. "It is concerning that fraudsters are using my identity and the agency's name to deceive people in need," he stated in a press release.

In response to this troubling development, FHM has reported the incidents to the police and is actively working to have the misleading videos removed from social media. The agency has reached out to Meta, the parent company of Facebook, requesting swift action against these fraudulent postings to safeguard the public from potential harm and misinformation.
