Borås Tidning has officially launched an engaging new game titled 'Gissa platsen' (Guess the Place) on its website, aimed at enhancing local knowledge and entertainment in the Sjuhärad region. This interactive game draws inspiration from the popular online game Geoguessr, placing players in undisclosed locations within Sjuhärad, where they must guess their position based on local signs and their own knowledge.
Players are given three minutes to identify their location, and the game consists of three rounds in total. Points are awarded based on how close a player’s guess is to the actual location, allowing for some competitive fun. To keep players engaged, daily challenges will be released, inviting users to compete with one another for higher scores.
Victor Fridén, the editor-in-chief of Borås Tidning, emphasized the importance of blending entertainment with informative content. He stated that while journalism remains the core focus of the publication, introducing enjoyable elements like 'Gissa platsen' enriches the reader's experience and fosters a stronger connection with their locality.
