As part of the initiative, the municipality will provide accommodation for all Sami attendees, ensuring they can fully participate in the event, which serves as a vital platform for cultural exchange and discussion on Sami minority policies prevalent in both Sweden and Norway.

Malin Rihpa, the coordinator for Älvdalens municipality, highlighted the importance of this festival, especially given the lack of similar events in the southern Sami region of Sápmi. This initiative also includes students from Strandskolan in Idre who will attend the festival during school days, with all costs covered by the municipality.
